Over 350 runners took part in the Fun Run starting and finishing at KGV. Runners had to battle against a strong wind as they completed the second half of the course along the west coast but impressive times were returned despite the difficult conditions, especially by the many novice runners. At the front end there was an intriguing competition between young track stars Dan Galpin and Richard Bartram  and road specialists Carl Holden and Pete Amy. Eventually Carl Holden pulled away to win by a few seconds. First woman home was Vanessa Rodrigues.

But the focus of this event was always about mass participation and wider inclusion and organisers were very pleased to see over 350 runners enjoying this traditional late summer event.

Many thanks to Guernsey Athletics, Civil Protection, Guernsey Police and all the marshalls and volunteers who ensured that the event went smoothly.

Thansk also to BWCI, KGV, Bodylogic, PrintMyTees and Mark Guillou.
